Anyway, we endured the locks and arrived at Ilion by 1:00PM where “PG” (as he says stands for “parental guidance” needed) the assistant dock master got all 3 boats situated. It is a very nice facility that doubles as an RV park run by the town of Ilion, NY. A nice family-run Italian restaurant was nearby so we all had a great dinner there. We will remain here for the 4th as NOAA is advertising some unpleasant WX. Oh yes, there is a rail line very near (100 yds.) and the trains are frequent, long and jet plane – noisy, but no whistles.
